Here are some highlights of last week’s G20 meetings that took place from Saturday, September 9 through to Sunday, September 10.

 

  • The Prime Minister of India passed over the presidency to Brazil.

 

  • The Summit welcomed the African Union, expanding its members by including additional countries.

 

  • The Russian Foreign Minister expressed that he would return the Black Sea deal that allows Ukraine to export grain under the condition that Moscow’s demands were met. Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey will continue to discuss the grain deal, while the Turkish president believes there is hope of resolving it.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics is set to release both the Consumer Price Index (CPI) y/y and the Core CPI m/m figures on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 4:30 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

The Producer Price Index (PPI) m/m is scheduled to be released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 4:30 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

The Census Bureau is set to release Retail Sales m/m data on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 4:30 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

The Empire State Manufacturing Index is scheduled to be released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 4:30 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

The University of Michigan is set to release the Prelim UoM Consumer Sentiment on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 6:00 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

 

Europe

 

In Europe, the ZEW Economic Sentiment is set to be released on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 1:00 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

The European Central Bank is scheduled to decide the Main Refinancing Rate on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 4:15 PM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

 

The UK

 

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) m/m is scheduled to be released by the Office for National Statistics at 10:00 AM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).

 

 

China

 

The Retail Sales y/y is set to be released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 6:00 AM, GMT+4 (Dubai Time).
